The swaggerettes week of raising money for Cancer research uk!

A few months ago, we decided we wanted to do something fun to raise money for a charity!

Race for life seemed to be the perfect choice, so the 5 of us swiftly signed up. We then thought to hold an event at the shop to help raise extra funds. 'An Evening of pink at Swagger' was organised!

To keep the event at a control number we made the evening Invite only which we advertised all through social media & of course the faithful word of mouth, it was fab to see how many people requested an invite!

We had to use an incentive to get people to come along because not even Bubbly & cake can be enough so there was a 15% discount off all purchases throughout the evening!

The lovely Jo.c who is one of our fab Swagger party planners took on the mission to organise some great raffle prizes which included, The Fabulous baker brothers book, one night stay at The Rounchevel Hotel, Cut & blow dry from Innovations hair studio, High tea for two at The George Hotel, Lovely fruit basket from Ian's Fruit & veg, Lovely plant from Lucy Butlers florist, cupcakes from The country Garden company. The list goes on... My biggest THANK YOU goes to Nicole from The vintage birdcage cakery! Nicole donated these amazing cakes for our bake sale, during the evening all the money raised went towards our grand total! Then it was time for race for life on sunday the 7th July the 5 of us swaggerettes dressed up with the theme of pink 118 118 girls. Wigs and moustaches at the ready and a boiling Hot day we made it round the 5k with a little jog here and there but mostly power walking! Numerous bottles of water we completed the race!
